The dell feels less premium but a lot more comfortable. The aluminium casing of the mbp is really quite cold. My first impressions were that it is surprisingly cold. I’m a little tipsy while writing this, it’s New Year’s Eve and I had a quick visit to the pub.Īnyway. So don’t listen to everyone saying how it’s a behemoth, it’s not, it’s just the same as a 15.6” laptop. So if ur coming from 15.6”, the MBP 16” is exactly the same size.

BUT for my personal laptop I want to do writing, video editing and music production, so hence why I’ve gone for Mac because let’s face it, if all ur doing is office work, I would probs stick with a windows laptop, it’s just easier.Īlso to add, the dell 15.6” laptop is actually bigger than the MacBook Pro 16” laptop in dimensions and weighs about the same. Firstly I am coming from a 15.6” Dell Latitude 5580 which I have to say, I love - it has a lovely keyboard and has the full numbers pad. I wish they had a 14” but they didn’t, so I couldn’t take a 14” home. One store had a 16” in stock so I just bought it and thought, you know what, I can try it in my own home on my own table in my own environment and test it. I’ve been into a few Apple stores on numoerous occasions wondering if they noticed how frequently I visit just to try and make a decision. I too have been pondering which is best, 14” or 16”. I wanted to try help anyone with this dilemma.
